The terms, kept honest.

The FAQ promised that formal terms would replace its fine print before general availability. This page is that promise kept — formal, and still in plain English.

Effective 7 July 2026 · updated 17 July 2026 (one-time support simplified to a single founding gesture; third-party software noted) · covers amesemi.com and the founding-supporter programme · the FAQ keeps the short version

1 · What you are looking at

Amesemi is a research preview: a private AI atelier with persistent, auditable memory, shown working in public while the subscriber product is still being built. The site, the demos, and the replayed cognition are real, sanitized traces of a real system. What does not exist yet is hosted access of your own — that is the work your support funds.

Using this site costs nothing and creates no account. These terms only start to matter if you join the waitlist or support the work with money.

2 · Supporting the work is patronage, not a purchase

The founding-supporter subscription is patronage of ongoing research. It is not a licence to a hosted product, and no availability date is promised. In exchange, founding supporters receive the benefits listed on the FAQ: first access when subscriber previews open, priority standing on the waitlist, and the Amesemi Starter Kit delivered by email. The first ten founding supporters may additionally commission one standing brief — a public-information research question their subscription keeps under scheduled re-verification. Briefs are accepted at the steward’s discretion (lawful, public-information research only), run on Amesemi's schedule with no service-level promise, and pause when the subscription ends; the record produced stays, honestly dated. Commissioned records are published unless you ask for private delivery.

If you want a finished product today, we would rather you kept your money — that is why the tier is called supporter, not customer.

3 · Billing, cancelling, refunds

The subscription recurs monthly at the price shown at checkout, through Stripe's hosted payment page — card details go to Stripe, never to us. Cancel any time from the link in any Stripe receipt email; supporter benefits run to the end of the paid month, and nothing renews after a cancellation.

The refund promise: reply to any receipt email within 14 days of a charge and we refund it, no interrogation. This applies to every charge, including the first and including one-time support.

Nothing on this page removes rights the law already gives you, including your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

4 · One-time support

Founding support is a single gesture that funds development — one charge, no renewal, and the same 14-day refund promise. It is a gift of support, not a pre-order: it does not purchase a product, a delivery date, or a future obligation. The Founding Pack download that accompanies it is a thank-you, not a purchased product.

5 · The preview is provided as-is

This is research software shown mid-flight. The site and the preview are provided as-is and as-available, without warranties of any kind beyond those the law refuses to let anyone disclaim. Content may change, pause, or be superseded — though in keeping with the house rule, superseded material is versioned rather than erased.

6 · Fair limits

To the extent the law allows it: our total liability to you, for anything arising out of the site or the supporter programme, is capped at the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Where the law implies a guarantee that cannot be excluded, our liability for breaching it is limited, at our choice, to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of resupply.

7 · Your side of it

Use the site lawfully. Don't attack it, don't try to break the waitlist form or the checkout, and don't misrepresent an affiliation with Amesemi. That's the whole list.

8 · When these terms change

Material changes are announced to supporters by email before they take effect, and this page always carries its effective date. Superseded versions are kept, not erased — ask, and you will receive the version you accepted.

9 · Who operates this, and whose law applies

Amesemi is operated as an Australian sole-trader research-preview service. These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and disputes belong to the courts there. To reach a human, reply to any email Amesemi has sent you — the waitlist welcome or any Stripe receipt both land with the operator.

10 · Third-party software

The Mind display runs on the Three.js library (© 2010–2026 Three.js Authors), used under the MIT licence and served from this site's own pages rather than a third-party network. The licence text ships inside the library files and at vendor/THREE_LICENSE.txt. The only other script the site loads is the hosting platform's anonymous page-speed measurement, described in the privacy note.
